Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to clients with various tasks such as personal care, household chores, transportation, and community engagement.
  • Assist clients in achieving their personal goals and aspirations by building capacity and promoting independence.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in disability support work.
Requirements
  • Experience in disability support work, aged care, or a similar field.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and their families.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a genuine interest in improving the lives of others.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications, or a willingness to obtain them.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Bonus points for holding a Cert III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Care, or similar qualifications.
  • Worker screening clearances, or the ability to obtain one (NDIS Worker Check)
