Key Responsibilities
  • Mentoring and Skill Development: Guide customers to explore and develop their personal interests and hobbies, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Coaching Independent Living Skills: Teach customers essential skills such as cooking, domestic, and social skills, empowering them to live confidently in their own homes.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medication and adhere to individual support plans, ensuring the well-being of our customers.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete clear, concise, and factual handover notes and incident reports, maintaining accurate records and facilitating effective communication.
  • Personal Care: Provide personal care services such as toileting, showering, feeding, and dressing when required, respecting the dignity and autonomy of our customers.
  • Community Engagement: Facilitate customers' engagement with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities, promoting social inclusion and connection.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Possess versatile communication skills, including the ability to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customers, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Driver's License: Hold a current driver's license, as this is a mandatory requirement for the role.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance: Possess a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or be willing to obtain one, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • First Aid Certificate: Hold a current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003, demonstrating a commitment to customer safety and well-being.
  • Covid Vaccinations: Be up to date with Covid vaccinations, prioritizing the health and safety of our customers and staff.
  • Qualifications: Possess formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar, which would be advantageous in this role.
