
Child Safety Leadership Specialist

The Child Safety Lead Practitioner plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality child safety services. This individual is responsible for providing expert leadership to build practice capability within specific service delivery contexts.
Working closely with regional service delivery managers, the Lead Practitioner ensures the localised implementation of practice improvement initiatives that align with best-practice standards. The role drives and supports change, continuous learning, and service enhancement to improve outcomes for children and families in regional settings.
This position operates under the guidance of the Principal Practitioner. Additionally, the role contributes to the development, implementation, and evaluation of professional practice frameworks, policy, governance, and practice review processes within regional service delivery contexts.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following:
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
- Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
