Job Title: Support Worker

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team in Child Safety, providing support to children, young persons, and families.
  • You will need strong emotional intelligence, resilience, non-judgemental attitude, empathy, and perseverance to manage conflicts and de-escalate situations effectively.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are essential for operating in a dynamic environment subject to work pressures and changes.

Duties Include:
  • Under direction, undertake specific service delivery tasks and maintain accurate case notes of activities as identified by the case and care plan developed by the Child Safety Officer.
  • Provide supervision of family time/access/contact visits between children/young persons and their parents/family members to ensure safety and wellbeing of child/young person and provide case notes to contribute towards Child Safety assessments.
  • Offer personal support of children, young persons, and families, as well as parenting support and educative opportunities and assessment, in a range of environments.
  • Participate in care planning and review processes as required, facilitate empowerment and individual support of clients.
