As an Engagement Officer, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide advice on strategies that support the attendance, social and emotional wellbeing, and engagement and participation in learning of Aboriginal children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic cultural and policy advice on national and state policy direction in relation to Aboriginal Education.
- Contribute to the implementation of the Department's Aboriginal Education Strategy.
- Work with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that support the attendance, social and emotional wellbeing, and engagement and participation in learning of Aboriginal children and their families.
Qualifications:
- Essential: A certificate 4 or higher education qualification in education, human services, or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions:
- You will be required to gain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed, which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
- You will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course, which will be required to be updated every three years.
Benefits:
- $92,630 - $98,084 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
