Aboriginal Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a culturally sensitive health professional to join our team in delivering comprehensive case management services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients with tuberculosis or at risk of developing tuberculosis.
- This role requires the ability to facilitate effective communication and understanding between clients, families, and healthcare professionals while ensuring cultural safety and sensitivity.
- Culturally responsive care plans and health promotion initiatives will be developed and implemented through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) or equivalent qualification and registration with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive case management services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients with tuberculosis or at risk of developing tuberculosis.
- Facilitate effective communication and understanding between clients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring cultural safety and sensitivity.
- Conduct home visits, community outreach, and follow-up care to support clients' treatment adherence and overall wellbeing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement culturally responsive care plans and health promotion initiatives.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients within the healthcare system.
