Job Title

We are seeking a culturally sensitive health professional to join our team in delivering comprehensive case management services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients with tuberculosis or at risk of developing tuberculosis.

  • This role requires the ability to facilitate effective communication and understanding between clients, families, and healthcare professionals while ensuring cultural safety and sensitivity.
  • Culturally responsive care plans and health promotion initiatives will be developed and implemented through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
About the Role

The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) or equivalent qualification and registration with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver comprehensive case management services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients with tuberculosis or at risk of developing tuberculosis.
  2. Facilitate effective communication and understanding between clients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring cultural safety and sensitivity.
  3. Conduct home visits, community outreach, and follow-up care to support clients' treatment adherence and overall wellbeing.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement culturally responsive care plans and health promotion initiatives.
  5. Advocate for the rights and needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients within the healthcare system.
