The role of a Sexual Health and BBV Program Officer is multifaceted, encompassing planning, preparation, promotion, and delivery of training within the Birds and the BBVs course.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive training plans for the Birds and the BBVs course.
- Collaborate in the design and delivery of professional development programs for AHCWA's Member Services, tailored to meet their specific needs.
- Provide expert guidance and support to related program officers, fostering their growth and development.
- Implement targeted strategies for engaging with secondary target groups.
- Demonstrated expertise in blood borne viruses and sexually transmitted infections, along with relevant knowledge and skills.
- Proven understanding of clinical quality improvement practices in primary health care, with a focus on sexual health and blood borne viruses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective strategy development and timely resolution of issues.
- Familiarity with current trends and issues affecting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities throughout the state.
- Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating public health programs, education, and training for diverse audiences.
- Effective written and verbal communication, along with highly developed interpersonal skills, including consultation and stakeholder relationship-building capabilities.
- Able to uphold cultural safety principles, communicating sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
