Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Accor Hotels. As a key member of our culinary brigade, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions, and buffet service.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to strict food safety and handling procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate stock rotation, minimize wastage, and implement effective stock control procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a positive team culture.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and guests to ensure excellent service delivery.

Requirements

  • Trade Qualifications: Possess relevant trade qualifications and certifications.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a similar role.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of food safety requirements and regulations.
  • Service Orientation: Provide exceptional service to guests, with a focus on attention to detail and quality.
  • Cultural Awareness: Possess multicultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Initiative and Adaptability: Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
