We are seeking a talented Design Assistant to join our BONDS Design team in Pyrmont. As a Design Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our designers in the creation and execution of future concepts and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with seasonal colour and textile print developments.
  • Prepare work requests for new style prototypes, development packs and Tech Data sheets
  • Liaise with garment technicians on work requests and follow up on sample developments
  • Complete small design projects under the guidance of your Manager
  • Use creative forecast services, magazines, colour authorities, websites, and market analysis to assist in providing information for trend directions, story boards and project work
  • Collaborate and develop strong relationships with cross functional teams and our international sourcing teams
  • Prepare quality presentations and sales tools for internal range showings, sales conferences, retail range showings
Requirements:
  • A degree in fashion design
  • An understanding of fit and construction
  • An innovative and creative approach to design & development
  • Intermediate to High level experience in Excel and Adobe Creative Suite essential
  • Curiosity and team player capability
  • Packaging development/ componentry awareness
  • Previous exposure to PLM system (preferred)
  • Proven track record in similar design/ product related role
  • Passion for building, developing and optimising process and practice with sustainability and community in mind
