About Amazon's Senior Finance Analyst Role

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team in Australia. This exciting opportunity offers a unique blend of financial expertise and operational acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delve deep into financial data and operational metrics, meticulously analyzing trends, risks, and opportunities across individual Fulfillment Centers (FCs) and our broader fulfillment network.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models and forecasts to empower strategic decision-making.
  • Partner closely with FC Controllers and Operations leaders, providing them with insightful financial reports, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations that inform their decision-making.
  • Lend your financial acumen to network-level strategic planning, assessing the financial implications of network design, capacity changes, and other operational initiatives.
  • Participate in dynamic, cross-functional teams, evaluating the financial impact of new processes, technologies, or business models for our FC operations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
  • Experience working with stakeholders.
