Position: Senior Manager - India Communications

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, IN

Overview:

The Senior Manager for Communications in India will report directly to the APAC Communications Leader, acting as the principal communications advisor to the leadership team in Bangalore. This role involves leading a dedicated team to provide strategic insights and support across all communication initiatives, ensuring they align with the overarching goals of the organization. The manager will play a crucial role in promoting NetApp's innovative solutions that empower businesses to leverage their data effectively, transforming challenges into opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic communications advice and support to the site leadership in India, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Design and implement comprehensive communication strategies for the India site, in accordance with the APAC communications framework.
  • Collaborate with the APAC Communications Leader and team members to execute communication projects and campaigns effectively.
  • Manage the communications budget for the Bangalore site, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Guide the development and growth of the communications team in Bangalore, providing mentorship and direction.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics for communications across India, ensuring that goals are met and success is measurable.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on communications issues for both functional and market-facing teams throughout the region.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets specific to the Indian market, managing inquiries and providing support during critical situations.
  • Enhance the organization’s presence at regional marketing events, conferences, and industry gatherings throughout India.
  • Ensure brand integrity and consistency in communications across India, aligning with the overall APAC communications strategy.
  • Drive internal and leadership communications throughout India, linking high-level strategies with individual actions and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience in communications, with a focus on the Indian market.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with a talent for inspiring and motivating a team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • In-depth understanding of the Indian market and its cultural nuances.
  • Experience in crisis communication and media relations.
  • Familiarity with digital communication platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, with a focus on the Indian market.
