Job Title: Receptionist (Administration)

Mater Dei College is seeking a part-time Receptionist to join their Administrative Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to school staff, including photocopying, filing, data entry, and other office tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Greet and assist visitors by welcoming students, parents, teachers, and other visitors to the school, providing them with information, directions, or assistance as needed
  • Answer and direct telephone calls to the appropriate staff member, take messages, and maintain office change notifications
  • Provide administrative support to school staff, including photocopying, filing, data entry, and other office tasks
  • Manage school-related financial transactions, maintain and reconcile collection of money, including end-of-day reconciliation and banking
  • Maintain an inventory of office supplies, order supplies when needed, and ensure office equipment is in working order

Requirements:

  • Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWC)
  • Hold a current National Police Clearance from the Department of Education
  • Annually complete the online Child Protection Procedures and Mandatory Reporting Training and any other required CEWA training
  • Hold or be working towards an Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of customer service principles and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with students, colleagues, parents/guardians, and external partners
  • Proven ability to be flexible and confident in different situations and to provide assistance across a variety of tasks
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
