About Our Client

Our client is a leading healthcare company operating in the Asia Pacific region.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidate will provide legal advice, support, and contracting services to teams in direct and indirect markets in the Asia Pacific region with a focus on healthcare compliance, commercial contract drafting/review, and negotiation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with others. They will also have a keen interest in and ability to understand the business, its strategies, and its people.

The role would suit someone with 5+ years post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house, with a strong track record of providing high-quality legal advice and support. Life sciences and broad commercial transactional experience are preferred.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Providing legal advice and support to teams in direct and indirect markets in the Asia Pacific region
  • Identifying, managing, and mitigating legal risk and opportunity in business activities within commercial projects
  • Developing bespoke contracts to support new healthcare/med tech product offerings and services
  • Providing strategic advice and support to teams within the region on sales and go-to-market models and related customer contracts
  • Ensuring consistent use of template agreements within the business
  • Providing legal support to functional teams as required

The successful candidate will be a fluent English speaker and have a strong understanding of the healthcare industry and its regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong legal, analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • A keen interest in and ability to understand the business, its strategies, and its people
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively with others
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • JD/Bachelor degree from a well-respected institution required as a minimum
  • Legal qualification in Australia/Singapore/UK/US required as a minimum
