Job Opportunity

Role Description:

  • Deliver specialist support services to individuals and families affected by sexual violence, prioritizing the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Western Sydney.
  • Offer crisis intervention and ongoing therapy, as well as facilitate access to forensic and medical services when required.
  • Establish trust-based relationships with clients and their families, connecting them with vital community resources and support networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or Human Services, accompanied by demonstrated expertise in Aboriginal cultural contexts.
  • Provide evidence of Indigenous identity and proficiency in culturally responsive practice.
  • Bring experience in delivering trauma-informed services to Aboriginal individuals and families, fostering a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or Human Services, supplemented by training in interpersonal trauma.
  • Proven skills in facilitating group work, case management, and advocacy for marginalized populations.
