Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Therapist

We are seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Counsellor within our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive therapeutic services to individuals affected by sexual assault and domestic violence. This may include providing individual and group therapy sessions, conducting psychosocial assessments, developing safety plans, and collaborating with other services and agencies to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing trauma-informed therapeutic counselling services to individuals who have experienced sexual assault and domestic violence;
- Conducting psychosocial assessments and risk assessments to inform treatment planning;
- Developing and implementing safety plans to minimize harm and promote well-being;
- Working collaboratively with other services and agencies to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in providing trauma-informed therapeutic services to individuals affected by sexual assault and domestic violence;
- Current registration as an AHPRA Registered Psychologist or Social Worker; and
- Eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
