Lead Chilled Food Specialist

We're seeking a strategic and innovative professional to drive growth, customer loyalty, and profitability in our Chilled and Bakery categories. As a key member of our team, you'll lead the development and execution of our category strategy, aligning with customer needs and commercial goals.


You will identify and implement transformative initiatives that deliver business results, increase customer engagement, and enhance supplier partnerships. Your analytical mindset, creative edge, and passion for fresh food will enable you to shape the future of our offering across these critical categories.


To succeed in this role, you'll need proven experience in category management or buying within the fresh food sector, a track record of driving transformation and innovation, and strong leadership and communication skills. You'll also be an analytical thinker with a creative approach, able to influence at all levels and drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with customer needs and commercial goals.
  • Identify and implement transformative initiatives to drive business results, customer engagement, and supplier partnerships.
  • Analyze data, shopper insights, and market trends to inform category decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovation to shelf faster and more effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to drive joint business planning, unlock innovation, and improve agility.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in category management or buying within the fresh food sector.
  • Track record of driving transformation, innovation, and strong commercial results.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with a creative edge – you love data but think beyond it.
  • Passion for fresh food and the evolving needs of today's customer.
