We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Electorate Officer A. This is a full-time ongoing position in the office of Hon Catherine King MP in Ballarat, Victoria.
As an Electorate Officer, you will be responsible for attending to phone and email enquiries, meeting with constituents and other visitors to the Electorate Office, and liaising with Government departments and other organizations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong community stakeholder engagement skills, highly developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a small team to achieve results.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a National Police History Check and obtain and maintain a security clearance at Negative Vetting Level 2.
Key Responsibilities- Ensuring constituents are supported through their contact with the electorate office.
- Managing constituent enquiries and preparing correspondence and communications.
- Maintaining case notes, files, and records.
- Attending community events and travel throughout the Electorate.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks.
- Strong community stakeholder engagement skills.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a small team to achieve results.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines with limited supervision.
- A commencing salary between $69,046 and $73,098 will be negotiated depending on experience and relevant skills.
- An additional optional allowance may be considered in recognition of, and as compensation for, reasonable additional hours of work.
- Relocation assistance, studies assistance, and paid study leave may also be available (subject to eligibility requirements).
