Curator of Significant Cultural Assets

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the strategic management and development of our extensive cultural collections.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in managing complex and diverse collections, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality collection care and access across various activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced curator to take charge of our History, Culture, and the Arts Collection Management program and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the inter-disciplinary Collection team and ensure alignment with museum priorities.
  • Develop and implement strategies for digitisation, reviewing collection storage, and deaccessioning.
  • Drive multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising stakeholder engagement and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in collection management.
  • Able to drive multiple projects concurrently, managing competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in motivating and guiding teams.
