About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for a senior professional to join our organization in the Northern Territory as an Assistant Manager.

The successful candidate will provide critical support to the State Manager, South Australia and Northern Territory, driving engagement and member retention across the territory.

The ideal candidate will leverage their established network, apply their knowledge of governance principles, and drive impact through effective communication and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the main contact for the local Divisional Council and face of the organization for local political and chamber relationships.
  • Provide oversight and management support of the Divisional Council/Committee.
  • Facilitate council elections and smooth induction of new council members.
  • Offer senior leadership and representation for members within the designated territory.
  • Identify and drive initiatives to improve the member experience locally.
  • Cultivate positive interactions and build trusted long-term relationships with members, developing a strong local network that drives membership growth in the Northern Territory.
  • Provide relevant territory market insights to the Client and Sales team to drive strategic goals.
  • Maintain an understanding of all Education products and other service offerings.
  • Ensure a knowledge of the public policy stance.
  • Drive impact and engagement through support of national events program.

About You:

You will be a proven leader with experience in sales, business development, and engaging with senior leaders. You will champion the values of Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Collaboration.

Requirements:
  • Senior sales and commercial experience covering business development, pitches, and relationship building.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively with internal and external stakeholders including C-suite executives and Board directors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex situations effectively and positively.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Gravitas, self-leadership, and ability to command a room and be self-motivated, driving for results.
  • Exceptional networking, stakeholder management, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven teamwork, influencing skills, and ability to bring others along.
  • Knowledge of governance and governance principles and Board experience would be advantageous.
