Project Management Professional – Northern Rivers

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contracts Administrator to join our team in the Northern Rivers region. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of commercial construction projects.

Job Description:

The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This will involve coordinating with project stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients, to ensure that all contractual obligations are met.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. They will also have experience working in a similar role within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in the production of documents and plans that govern project delivery.
  • Compile accurate scopes of work for subcontracts.
  • Review and approve subcontractor plans for compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Ensure that subcontract and supply agreements are in line with project and company contractual and legal requirements.
  • Administer project management, change, and control processes in accordance with project plans, contractual, and legal conditions, time bars, and administrative timeframes.
  • Ensure proper and accurate use of job administration software in managing projects.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar.
  • Solid experience working as a Contracts Administrator on large commercial/residential new builds.
  • Understanding of commercial and legal issues pertaining to head contracts.
  • A working knowledge of major building trades.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong experience in tender processes and trade procurement.
  • Financial understanding and knowledge of construction costs.
