**Who We Are**

The RPQ Group of companies provides a range of quality services in road construction and maintenance. As a part of the Downer Group, RPQ Group employs over 300 staff and have a fleet of over 300 machines. RPQ operates out of locations spread over Queensland and New South Wales and boasts a high level of industry experience across our management, operational and support staff. As RPQ is owned by Downer EDI Limited (DOW) the company has experienced considerable growth over the last five years.

**The Role**

RPQ Asphalt, now operating as Downer Pavements is looking for Project Coordinator. This role will be employed by Downer EDI Works Ltd (an ASX listed company) but working alongside Downer as well as Lismore Depot’s employees of RPQ.
- Responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of the projects as directed for the RPQ Group.
- Authority to procure and manage equipment and resources to the delegated authority to provide products and services within time and cost restraints.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Management of day-to-day project resources including effective utilisation of teams and plant.
- Monitor quality and performance of suppliers/subcontractors and their products and services.
- Monitor compliance with relevant quality assurance requirements.

**About You**
- Preferably 5 years bituminous surfacing experience.
- Strong human resource management skills, including strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Sound understanding of the development, implementation and maintenance of quality, safety, and environmental (QSE) management systems.
- Detailed working knowledge of spray seal, asphalt & stabilisation mix designs, road pavement methodology & technology.
- Proven ability to manage projects to achieve high quality outcomes for all stakeholders.
- Sound financial management skills including budget development and forecasting experience.
- Detailed knowledge of road construction specifications.
- Knowledge of State and Local government contract management and knowledge and experience in organisational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.

**Required Qualifications**
- Diploma of Civil Construction/Project/Production Management or equivalent.
- General Site Safety induction.
- AfPA Bituminous Surfaces Principles and Practice.
- AfPA Working Safely with Bitumen.
