About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in Barwon. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a critical role in delivering best-practice, person-centered support to individuals who use challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Behaviour Support Plans that are tailored to the individual's needs and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with individuals, their families, and support networks to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce restrictive practices and promote positive behaviour change.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of Behaviour Support Plans to ensure they remain effective and relevant.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on Behaviour Support practices and strategies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Strong understanding of Behaviour Support principles and practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, and support networks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
