This full-time or part-time Behaviour Support Practitioner role involves working in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres. Your expertise in behaviour support will be crucial in driving positive change for individuals with disabilities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
  • Building meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
  • Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework
  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
  • Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges

Requirements:

  • Deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Psychological/Social Science or related field)
