About The Role

We are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants in Barwon and surrounding areas. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres.

Your Responsibilities

  • Utilizing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
  • Building meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
  • Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework
  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
  • Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
  • Attending weekly team meetings in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs

Requirements

  • Deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Psychological/Social Science or related field)
