Medico-Legal Report Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:

The Medico-Legal Report Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of medico-legal reports. This role involves reviewing reports, building relationships with customers and experts, working collaboratively with team members, and providing feedback and training to medical experts.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Review of medico-legal reports in line with quality framework and relevant regulations and legislation
  • Building sustainable relationships, connections and trust with customers and experts through open and interactive communication
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure prioritisation of workflow
  • Provide feedback and training for medical experts on medico-legal report writing
  • Resolve emerging problems and handle customer complaints by providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within time limits, follow ups to ensure resolution, customer record interactions and escalation
Qualifications:
  • Experience or qualifications in allied health, legal or insurance industries, ideally with experience in interpreting medico-legal reports – highly regarded
  • Experience in utilising the AMA Guides and WorkCover Guides for assessing permanent impairment and disability assessments is desirable
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
