Job Description:

The WorkCare Claims team is seeking a skilled professional to join their ranks as a Senior Claims Consultant. This role will be based in Perth, Western Australia.

This position involves managing a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims and delivering high-quality claims management services to clients and the broader claims team.

A key aspect of this role is efficiently handling client enquiries, contributing to relationship management through regular communications, and visiting clients and legal providers regularly.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing end-to-end claims management, submitting claims reports as required, and pursuing continuous professional development by attending external and internal sessions.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in Workers Compensation and insurance claims, including interpreting relevant legislation and making liability decisions.

A strong understanding of complex claims and ability to demonstrate initiative and understanding when managing confidential information are essential.

Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Workers Compensation and insurance claims.
  • Experience in interpreting relevant acts and making liability decisions.
  • Management of complex claims and ability to demonstrate initiative and understanding when managing confidential information.
  • Strong communication, personable, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Computer literacy, negotiation skills, self-motivation, organisational skills, and ability to plan and work independently and prioritise workloads.
