Experienced Mechanical Fitter Required

About the Role:
We are seeking experienced mechanical fitters to join our Operations and Maintenance team at a base in QLD.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Defence environment to support national security requirements.
You will be based in Townsville, supporting the NQLD region with occasional regional travel across QLD.
We deliver effectively and sustainably from operations and maintenance to asset management services.
Reporting to a Supervisor, you will be part of a core crew of UGL technicians.
Your duties include:
- Performing scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
- Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
- Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
- Supporting subcontracted work packages
- Supporting various sites in the region, with occasional travel to sites throughout QLD
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience
- Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
- Experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry
- Confined space and working at heights tickets
- Safety is paramount in everything you do
- Currrently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance
