As a result of expanding scope of works within UGL's portfolio, we are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Townsville RAAF Base in QLD. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Australian Defence environment to support national security requirements. Join a Tier 1 services provider on a long-term operations and maintenance contract.

The Role

Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be based in Townsville, supporting the NQLD region with occasional regional travel across QLD. You will be part of a core crew of UGL technicians. These duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
  • Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
  • Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
  • Support subcontracted work packages as required
  • Support various sites in the region, with occasional travel to sites throughout QLD
What You Need
  • Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience
  • Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
  • Experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry will be highly regarded
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance

Level 1 - $47.07 Plus Super & Tool Allowance (weekly $36.43)

Level 2 - $50.67 Plus Super & Tool Allowance (weekly $36.43)

Level 3 (Dual Trade) - $54.28 Plus Super & Tool Allowance (weekly $36.43)
