Job Title: Transmission Technical Director

Job Summary:

The Transmission Technical Director will play a key role in driving revenue generation, developing market strategy, and ensuring successful project delivery. They will take the lead on partnering strategies and collaborate closely with the practice supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop trusted relationships with T&D clients
  • Drive best practice and professional approach to Health and Safety and CDM
  • Contribute to market strategy and execution of annual business plan
  • Identify and manage portfolio risks
  • Oversee Project Managers and Project Directors
  • Deliver market revenue, profit, and practice demand
  • Ensure project reviews based on risk
  • Oversee business development and successful bidding
  • Lead market proposition and thought leadership
  • Provide leadership, management, and engineering/technical guidance
  • Manage financial performance of projects
  • Direct key staff recruitment, resourcing, and development initiatives

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, team-working, and influencing skills
  • Experience of leading high-performing teams and ability to build trust, influence, and motivate others
  • Highly experienced in financial and commercial management for large and complex portfolios of projects
  • Experience of successful negotiation and dispute resolution
  • Experience in developing and winning bids and their governance
  • Contractual, commercial, and project delivery knowledge
  • Well-rounded leadership and management background with demonstrable experience of project portfolio management
  • Ability to lead and support a diverse group of bid and project delivery teams
  • Numerically astute with an eye for detail
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent and relevant professional accreditations
