Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Process Control Applications Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, commissioning, and maintaining control systems.

  • Design and develop PLCs/HMIs using Schneider M340/580 and Unity Pro software.
  • Integrate PLCs, SCADA, and HMI platforms including Citect and AVEVA Plant SCADA.
  • Provide on-site and remote support for automation systems including troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Develop electrical designs, single line diagrams, schematics, termination diagrams, and layouts.
  • Train clients and collaborate with suppliers to optimize equipment performance.
  • Contribute to research and development initiatives and participate in new equipment commissioning.
  • Travel for support and collaboration and provide technical assistance to the rest of the team and clients as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Completed tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or an information technology related field.
  • Valid QLD Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency in programming complete PLC systems using Schneider Unity Pro or Control Expert.
  • Familiarity with the Uticor HMI product range.
  • Strong knowledge of Schneider PLC hardware and software platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with AVEVA Citect SCADA systems.
  • Solid understanding of machine safety standards and practices.
  • Background in industrial automation particularly within bulk commodities or similar sectors.
  • Expertise in control system design troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities diagnostic skills and effective communication.
  • Self-motivated adaptable and thrives under pressure.
  • Genuine passion for control systems and a strong desire for continuous learning.
