Job Description

The client is a specialist engineering consultancy leading the way in Australia's energy transition. They deliver end-to-end solutions for high-voltage substation, transmission, and renewable energy projects across the National Electricity Market.

They are seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will focus on the design, implementation, commissioning, and maintenance of SCADA and substation automation systems.

The successful candidate will be working with Citect SCADA , RTAC , and Siemens SICAM A8000 RTUs (including Cell Devices and Cell Switchers), ensuring robust and reliable operation within HV environments. Experience with the Ignition platform will be considered a strong advantage.

  • Design, configure, and commission SCADA systems using Citect SCADA , including HMI development and Cicode scripting
  • Integrate and configure RTAC and Siemens SICAM A8000 RTUs (Cell Devices, Cell Switcher) for substation automation
  • Produce technical documentation including functional descriptions, logic diagrams, and commissioning test plans
  • Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols for real-time monitoring and diagnostics
  • Oversee on-site commissioning, testing, and validation of automation systems in line with project schedules
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver compliant and reliable solutions

This is a mid-senior level position that requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or related Engineering field and minimum 3+ years' experience delivering SCADA projects , including RTAC and Siemens A8000 RTU configuration.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Citect SCADA (HMI design and Cicode scripting) and strong background in high-voltage or medium-voltage substation automation projects.

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex SCADA systems, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions, and contributing to the growth and development of the company.
