We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our HR team.
The Assistant Human Resources Manager will report directly to the HR Manager and be responsible for:
- Providing instruction to departments in the absence of the HR Manager.
- Assisting in implementing grievance and disciplinary procedures.
- Providing guidance to staff on employment-related matters, such as entitlements, accommodation, and benefits.
- Delivering training and support to the HR team.
- Ensuring adherence to legal requirements regarding discrimination, sexual harassment, minimum conditions, OH&S, grievance, and disciplinary procedures.
- Managing the progress of apprentices and trainees through close contact with their managers, external training organizations, and agencies.
- Managing performance management, training, and development systems.
- Overseeing the orientation program for new staff.
- Administering the health and wellbeing program.
- Coordinating visa and sponsorship information and assisting with the Seasonal Worker Program administration.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of industrial relations, recruitment, privacy, and training legislation.
- Previous experience in a hotel or resort environment of international standard.
- A human resources qualification or at least 3 years' experience in HR management.
- Proven customer service experience.
- Intermediate level skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Office 365 SharePoint.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A current driver's license.
