The Opportunity

We're seeking an expert in data infrastructure design and governance to join our Commercial team. This role will focus on creating scalable, secure, and accessible data solutions across the business.

This position plays a vital part in shaping our data architecture roadmap, overseeing enterprise data models, data stores, warehouses, and information management practices. Advanced analytics capabilities will also be developed.

Your Responsibilities

• Developing a comprehensive data strategy to ensure scalability, security, and availability.
• Enhancing data hygiene practices for organized, accessible, and engaging data.
• Maintaining data governance and standards throughout the business.
• Mapping existing data models to future states and supporting the overall data strategy.
• Collaborating on solution designs and technical issues.
• Evaluating data architecture effectiveness through user testing.
• Communicating complex technical solutions as clear business outcomes and sharing with stakeholders.
• Working closely with business stakeholders to refine the data strategy and form a business view of the data domain.

About You

You'll be highly motivated and able to work independently within agreed timelines.

To succeed in this role, you'll have many of the following requirements:

• 2 years experience in data management including but not limited to data architecture, data engineering, data modeling, data warehousing, data governance, data security, data privacy and business intelligence.
• Knowledge of Cloud solutions (Amazon Web Services, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft, Azure), data integration tools, and related technologies.
• A solid understanding of data strategy and how to move low maturity environments toward best practices.
• Understanding of data management and governance concepts such as data quality, metadata, master and reference data management.
• An analytical approach to problem-solving; ability to utilize technology to solve business problems.
• Recognized qualifications to support Data Architecture skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage sensitive information effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
