Network Operations Centre (NOC) Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Operations Centre (NOC) Technician to join our team. As a NOC Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and monitoring the day-to-day operations of our Network Operation Control Centers.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support and monitor day-to-day operations of Network Operation Control Centers.

  2. Monitor the Motorola Solutions infrastructure using various tools and react to resolve any alerts that may arise to ensure system uptime meets service level agreements.

  3. Responsible for logging and resolving any network incidents ensuring that Service Level Agreements are met at all times.

  4. Elevate any network incidents that cannot be resolved within specified time frames to relevant team members and collaborate with them until the incident is resolved.

  5. Document and record steps taken towards resolution of an incident and add this information to the knowledge database for future reference.

  6. Take ownership of major incidents by identifying, communicating, and utilizing appropriate resources to resolve the issue.

  7. Document and distribute all major incident review reports in the agreed format.

  8. Ensure NOCC operations meet support and performance metric requirements.

  9. Monitor all outages/Issues through the return to normal services.

  10. Develop strong and effective working relationships with engineering and management organisations.

  • Requirements:

  1. Australian Certificate of Education or equivalent.

  2. Helpdesk Operator Experience.

  3. 12 months in a technical helpdesk operator's role.

  4. Radio Transmission Paging Network Experience/IP Networking.

  5. Good communication skills written and verbal, driven, customer-focused, team player, take ownership.
