
Acute Care Manager

The role of Acute Care Manager is to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the acute care unit, ensuring safe and high-quality patient care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accountability for sound financial management of the acute care unit.
- Promoting innovation and change to increase staff satisfaction and patient safety.
- Developing effective recruitment strategies and managing absenteeism.
- Communicating with peers and teams to promote team stability.
- Contributing to the on-call roster.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and a current annual practicing certificate are essential requirements.
Postgraduate qualifications in acute care, health management, and Indigenous health are advantageous but not mandatory.
Credentialling as an X-ray operator is highly desirable in a rural and remote health facility.
