Job Description
">As a key professional in our team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and implementation of culturally appropriate programs and services to enhance social and emotional wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
">This challenging yet rewarding position requires an exceptional communicator with strong leadership skills, able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and manage a team to achieve desired outcomes.
">Key responsibilities include:
">- ">
- Developing and implementing effective community programs that cater to the unique needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.">
- Leading the Social and Emotional Wellbeing team to deliver on agreed outcomes and exceed expectations.">
- Coordinating inter-program partnerships across services to drive positive change.">
- Liaising with funding organisations, professional bodies, and other agencies to secure support and resources.">
- Staying abreast of current issues related to social and emotional wellbeing through regular attendance at conferences, seminars, and community events.">
- Monitoring service delivery against prepared KPIs to ensure continuous improvement.">
Required Skills and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will require:
">- ">
- A minimum Certificate IV in a field related to individual and/or group work, such as Community Services, Youth Work, Welfare, or equivalent knowledge and experience.">
- Proven leadership and management skills, including program implementation and staff management.">
- An analytical mindset with high conceptual skills, problem-solving ability, and experience researching relevant topics.">
- The ability to think critically and proactively, with a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.">
- Knowledge and understanding of child protection requirements, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally safe approaches.">
- Understanding of the issues and barriers impacting the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.">
- Knowledge and understanding of funding agreements, sector trends, and evidence-based practices.">
- Knowledge of Closing the Gap initiatives.">
