With a growing volume of awarded work in commodities including metals and battery minerals, our team is expanding and seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our engineering efforts in Perth.
This key role will suit a seasoned professional with a successful track record of technical leadership, enabling team performance and effective communication across diverse stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee engineering and design aspects of mineral processing projects, encompassing conceptual design, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering for Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure project objectives are met.
- Be responsible for technical approval and sign-off of the project's engineering and design.
- Collaborate with Functional Managers to ensure positive project outcomes from a technical and schedule perspective.
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, develop project scopes, and deliver customized solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies, emphasizing health, safety, and environmental stewardship.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team, promoting innovation, excellence, and professional development.
About You
- A Bachelor's degree in Process, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive experience with discipline engineering in a mineral processing EPCM environment, with proven success in a leadership role.
- Strong technical expertise in mineral processing principles, technologies, and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of engineering deliverables to support demanding project schedules.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from concept to completion, focusing on safety, technical quality, and client satisfaction.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a strong emphasis on planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Strong commercial acumen with knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
