About the Role

As a Project Controls Lead at Ausenco, you will be responsible for analyzing project cost performance, tracking expenditures, and forecasting future costs to support budget management and financial planning. This role requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Your Responsibilities
  • Analyze project cost performance and track expenditures to ensure accurate budget management and financial planning.
  • Mentor and support junior project controls staff in their professional development and ensure consistency and accuracy in project controls practices.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and delays, and propose mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
  • Cordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant data and inputs for project controls activities.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on project performance, providing insights and recommendations to project teams and clients.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in engineering, project management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar position within project controls, preferably in the mining & minerals industry or related sectors.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Oracle, Ecosys, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, with expertise in applications such as Power Pivot and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide team members toward common goals.
