Community Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Community Leader to support and mentor our workforce, ensuring culturally appropriate practices in early intervention and prevention activities that prioritise the wellbeing of individuals, families, and children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading daily operations
  • Promoting training and development
  • Collaborating with Elders and internal teams
  • Coordinating community-based initiatives such as wellbeing camps and cultural activities

The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination, as well as excellent cross-cultural communication skills, reliability, honesty, cultural awareness, and motivation.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, writing clear reports, representing us at local network meetings, and contributing to the delivery of culturally safe services across the region.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability. They will also possess a Certificate II in Community Services or equivalent experience, a current NT Ochre Card, and the ability to travel regularly to remote communities.
