Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to support and mentor the Raypirri Rom Community Workers, ensuring culturally appropriate practices in early intervention and prevention activities that prioritise the wellbeing of individuals, families, and children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily operations and ensure effective team management
  • Promote professional development through training and mentorship
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Elders and internal teams to drive community-based initiatives
  • Coordinate events such as wellbeing camps and cultural activities that foster community engagement
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination principles
  • Hold a Certificate II in Community Services or possess equivalent experience
  • Hold a current NT Ochre Card
  • Excel in cross-cultural communication and build trust within the community
  • Exhibit reliability, honesty, cultural awareness, and motivation in all aspects of work
