Rio Tinto's Specialist Maintenance role plays a key part in supporting maintenance function by leading and coordinating large, complex, and sustainable optimization projects across our assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate large contracting teams to ensure adherence to contract conditions.
  • Assist in developing and executing cost-effective plans aligned with operating requirements.
  • Lead investigations into equipment failures utilizing asset management best practices.
  • Evaluate repair options to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of maintenance projects to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and safety standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members and our contracting partners, fostering a high-performance culture.

This position is essential for ensuring the effective implementation of asset management strategies and business plans, delivering safe outcomes for our people and long-term value from our physical assets. Technical expertise is required as well as project management skills.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in your technical or professional discipline is required.
