Nursing Assistant Role

A supportive position for dedicated professionals to join our team. The opportunity to work across various units and gain mental health experience is available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support both the nursing and multidisciplinary team under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Assist in providing care to mental health patients within an acute setting.
  • Direct patient care activities supporting the recovery of acute mental health patients under RN supervision.
  • Collection, documentation, and communication of healthcare information back to the RN.

As a Nursing Assistant, you will support both the nursing and multidisciplinary team under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). Our Requirements:

Enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate.Completion of HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care).Acute Mental Health clinical placements as part of your undergraduate nursing degree or AIN course.Effective communication incorporating interpersonal skills.
