Job Title: Skilled Nursing Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nursing professional to provide high-quality care to our residents in a residential aged care home.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and working as part of a collaborative team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct clinical nursing care to residents with an individual, person-centred approach. This will involve assessing the physical and emotional needs of residents and developing and implementing care plans that promote their dignity, well-being and independence.

As a skilled nursing professional, you will also be required to act as a team leader, providing coaching, supervision and guidance to personal care staff. You will work in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar qualification
  • Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age-related health issues
  • Strong coaching/training skills
  • Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
