About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Regulatory and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Qantas Engineering. As a key member of our regulatory team, you will be responsible for providing expert regulatory support to our operations, ensuring compliance with all aviation regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and hands-on support for various compliance and regulatory management activities, including the implementation of safety programs and processes for aircraft entry into service and retirement.
  • Collaborate closely with internal operational stakeholders, Australian aviation authorities, international aviation authorities, and government regulatory departments to ensure adherence to all aviation regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of understanding and practical knowledge of CASA regulations Part 21, 42, 145, and 147.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of regulatory strategies and policies to ensure compliance with aviation regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on regulatory matters, ensuring that all team members are aware of and comply with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working in an operational aviation environment.
  • High level understanding and practical knowledge of CASA regulations Part 21, 42, 145, and 147.
  • Sound knowledge of the Aviation Regulatory Framework is essential.
  • Professional aviation management or safety qualifications, including Lead Auditor is highly regarded.
  • Process driven, with experience in constructing new processes to deliver business goals.
  • Highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
  • A combination of well-developed project management, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both autonomously and collaboratively.
