Modern Workplace Security Specialist

About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge workplace technology and cyber security. As a Modern Workplace Specialist, you will oversee the delivery and management of modern workplace services while playing a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing security through proactive threat management.
You will manage platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Apple Business Manager, and Qualys while collaborating closely with the cybersecurity team to identify and resolve vulnerabilities. This role will involve working within the service desk function, but your responsibilities will have a crucial focus on maintaining security and resolving escalated security issues, making this a hybrid of technical support and cyber defense.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the go-to expert for managing Microsoft Intune & Apple Business Manager
- Develop and maintain workplace services on Microsoft platforms (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Implement and monitor security patching solutions for laptops, virtual desktops (AVD), and mobile devices using Microsoft & Qualys applications
- Develop and support Windows 10/11 operating environments, including AVD
- Provide advanced-level support (Level 1-3) for the desktop support team
- Work closely with cybersecurity to manage threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance (Qualys & Microsoft Defender)
- Collaborate across operational and security teams to ensure secure and efficient workplace services
- Ensure smooth application packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management
What You'll Bring:
- 4-6 years of IT service desk experience, with at least 1-2 years focused on modern workplace technologies
- Strong skills in Microsoft Intune and mobile device management (MDM)
- Experience with security patching and vulnerability management (Qualys/Microsoft Defender preferred)
- Hands-on experience with ITIL-based ticketing systems like ServiceNow
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for staying updated on the latest workplace and cybersecurity technologies
