Main Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to your team, setting clear expectations, upholding accountabilities, reviewing performance, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
  • Identify and implement continual improvement strategies in safety and technical matters.
Requirements
  • A mechanical or electrical trade certificate and/or tertiary qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering is required.
  • Prior supervisory experience in heavy machinery maintenance within an open cut mining environment is essential.
  • Familiarity with heavy plant maintenance, including draglines, excavators, haul trucks, ancillary equipment, and drills.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining legislation.
  • Able to make data-driven risk-based decisions.
  • Strong frontline leadership skills with effective written and verbal communication.
