Workflow Engineering Role

Innovate and deliver cutting-edge technology solutions as a Workflow Engineering Professional at Commonwealth Bank. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technology-led business outcomes, and contribute to the development of our innovative product platforms and essential tools.

As a Business Transformation Expert, you will work alongside Principal/Lead Business Engineers and Product Owners to define product visions and feature roadmaps. You will be part of a dynamic squad, including Software Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, and Test Engineers, to drive efficient and timely processing, and deliver great customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide business analysis services and specialist support for the Workflow Crew
  • Gather and document information, conduct analyses of business needs, and elicit and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirements
  • Liaise and maintain relationships with stakeholders to understand organisational structures, policies, and operations, and recommend solutions to enable the organisation to achieve its goals
  • Complete and oversee project work stream deliverables, including quality control and sign-off for areas of accountability
  • Provide ongoing assistance to support teams for functionality released into production
  • Work closely with stakeholders and change management to identify impacts on business processes resulting from system or application changes
  • Identify project delivery issues and risks, assist with mitigation strategies, and escalate where necessary
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of solution delivery (SDLC) tools, processes, and methodologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Analyse and document business/functional processes and requirements using standard analysis methodologies and tools
  • Convert business needs into functional designs using knowledge of system capabilities, rules, and architecture
