The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Solicitor to join our award-winning Dispute Resolution team in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with leading commercial disputes partners and senior lawyers to support local, national, and international clients on general commercial litigation matters.

You will be responsible for contributing to an excellent client service, handling files, identifying issues, and providing solutions. You will also play a crucial role in projects to develop business opportunities with existing and new clients. Our team is highly motivated and innovative, and you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues in our interstate and international offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical advice on commercial litigation matters to clients;
  • Contribute to an excellent client service and handle files with precision;
  • Identify issues and provide solutions to clients;
  • Play a key role in projects to develop business opportunities with existing and new clients;
  • Work closely with leading commercial disputes partners and senior lawyers;
  • Collaborate with colleagues in our interstate and international offices.

Requirements

  • An Australian or New Zealand practicing certificate;
  • At least 2 years' legal experience in delivering technical advice on commercial litigation matters;
  • A strong academic record and excellent legal skills;
  • A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our team;
  • An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and autonomously;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team;
  • A hunger to learn and develop, and be part of maintaining a market-leading practice.
