The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Solicitor to join our Dispute Resolution team in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with leading commercial disputes partners and senior lawyers to provide expert advice on general commercial litigation, including commercial and corporate disputes, contentious regulatory matters, class actions, internal investigations, and inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to an excellent client service by handling files, identifying issues, and providing proactive solutions.
  • Play a key role in projects to develop business opportunities with existing and new clients.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in our interstate and international offices.
  • Have extensive client exposure and opportunities to develop a network of relationships.

Requirements

  • An Australian or New Zealand practicing certificate with at least 2 years' legal experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering technical advice on a range of commercial litigation matters from a leading top-tier, national, or international private practice or an in-house environment.
  • A strong academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset.
  • A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team.
  • An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively, and at times autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team.
  • A hunger to learn and develop, and be part of maintaining a market-leading practice.
