We are a leading global law firm with a strong presence in Australia, offering a wide range of legal services to our clients. Our Dispute Resolution team is highly regarded for its expertise in commercial litigation, and we are seeking a talented Solicitor to join our team in Melbourne.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will work closely with our leading commercial disputes partners and senior lawyers to provide high-quality legal advice to our clients. You will be responsible for handling a range of work, including commercial and corporate disputes, contentious regulatory matters, class actions, internal investigations, and other complex disputes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to an excellent client service by handling files, identifying issues, and providing solutions.
  • Work closely with colleagues in our interstate and international offices to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop a network of relationships with clients and colleagues, and contribute to the growth of our business.
  • Participate in projects to further develop business opportunities with existing and new clients.

Requirements

  • An Australian or New Zealand practicing certificate, with at least 2 years' legal experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering technical advice on a range of commercial litigation matters from a leading top-tier, national, or international private practice, or an in-house environment.
  • A strong academic record, coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset.
  • A proactive approach and a desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team.
  • An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team.
  • A hunger to learn and develop, and a commitment to maintaining a market-leading practice.
